I saw Amelie over the weekend, and this fragment of dialogue has been floating around in my head since. I know this is a bit more personal than I usually get on this page, but I found it faintly comforting and decided to share it.

Great movie! I was forced to see it by a friend, and I thanked him profusely afterwards.

I also thought it was great. Very charming. Maybe I should see more foreign films.

Another great line: "With a prompter in every cellar window whispering comebacks, shy people would have the last laugh."
There have been times that I could really use one of those.
